About Master Test and Tag

Master Test and Tag has been keeping New Zealand workplaces electrically safe and compliant for over eight years. We are New Zealand owned and operated, and we work with corporates, government bodies, schools, trade businesses and community organisations across both islands.
What we are actually for
Anyone can put a sticker on a lead. What matters on the day something goes wrong — or the day an auditor, an insurer or a head contractor asks — is whether you can produce a complete, current record of what was tested, by whom, when, and what happened to the things that failed.
So we treat the report as the product. Every item is recorded by description and location, with its class, its result, the date it was tested and the date it is next due. Failures are listed with the reason and the outcome, not quietly dropped off the list. Most of our clients use that report as their electrical asset register and never build a separate one.
Standards we work to
Testing and tagging is carried out to AS/NZS 3760:2022 by a Competent Person as the standard defines it. Emergency and exit lighting follows AS/NZS 2293.2, and microwave leakage testing follows AS/NZS 60335.2.25:2020. All of it sits under the general duty in the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to provide and maintain a safe work environment.
How we work
Fixed quotes agreed before we start. Testing planned around your operation rather than the other way round, including after hours where a floor or a production line cannot be interrupted. Repairs done on site during the same visit wherever possible. And a reminder from us before your next round falls due, so compliance is not resting on someone remembering a date twelve months out.
If you have sites in more than one city, they go onto one schedule and one consolidated report. That is usually the single biggest difference clients notice after switching.
